There are all sorts of different ways to use decking to transform your outdoor area, no matter the size and shape of your space. Whether you want something simple or fancy getting creative, it’s sure to add a sophisticated touch to your outdoor area.
However, decking is just as much a practical choice as it is an aesthetic one, so it’s important to consider that balance by thinking about what you’re going to use it for.
The typical use is usually as a raised flooring or a flat decked area. We can use decking as wall cladding & elevated pool structures.
It’s ideal for countering sloping and uneven ground. It creates a flat and even surface where there wasn’t one before.
Create a walkway to your main deck by using them to create steps or a path.
It can also be turned into built-in seating for a seamless look that has a great contemporary feel.
Don’t put yourself in a box - while decking is usually square or rectangular, a curved edge can give you a softer alternative.
It can be designed to perfectly fit your space.
Its versatility makes it a great fit for both modern and traditional styles, so you can easily accommodate decking in any outdoor space.
Accent the edges of your deck with plant life for a look that embraces natural elements.
Most often made from a mixture of recycled wood fibres and plastic, composite decking is a very popular wood alternative material for building a deck. It’s long-lasting, won’t splinter, and requires minimal care and maintenance, which is good for homeowners who don’t want to spend a lot of time on upkeep.
While composite decking does not need much work in the way of maintenance, you should still care for your deck. Doing so will help the material keep its like-new look longer. With that in mind, here are some tips for proper composite decking care and maintenance.

PLANNING YOUR DECKING PROJECT
WHICH DECKING STRUCTURE?
When it comes to the structure of your decking, there are many, many options. These are the three most popular decking structures:
A simple ground-level deck – this is more suitable for a level surface and is the most simple decking structure to construct and lay - can be done with Decking Tiles or Strips.
A ground-level deck with rails – this type of decking creates an enclosed space, which is great if you want to be able to keep children and pets in one area. The rail acts as a decorative, as a well as practical, feature. With this decking type, you could also add a gate for security - can be done with Decking Strips.
Raised deck with rail and steps – this is more suitable for areas that are on a slope. One potential downside of this type of decking is that it is a much larger scale project and will take longer to complete. A benefit, however, is that the space underneath the structure can be used for extra storage - can be done with Decking Strips.
